Photoshoot - The New Paper GSS Shoot - Rekindling the New Face experience....

Lovaholic went back to SPH on 30th May 2008 (Friday), almost a year later after the New Paper New Face 2007 to help out in the shoot for the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) segment in The New Paper, to be publish on the 26th June 2008. Rekindling the great experience that I received during the contest. (.n_n.)

Arrived around 11am at SPH. Can't really remember when was the last time I need to report to Wee Teck at SPH... I was telling myself "die die" cannot be late as Wee Teck hates latecomers.

Some of the New Face gals (Li Jia, Hamizah, Anna, Kamsin, Jannah and Lovaholic) were called up on different days to help for the special report for GSS. Mine was the last session. I was supposed to pair up with Jannah but she had overslept and I missed the chance to meet her... I miss you, Jannah dear!!! The very careless me lost her number (plus some other gals' too)!!! *Stabbing herself for the carelessness!!!*



Preparations!!!

Settled down real fast to do my hair by the Shunji Matsuo International Director (Stylist), Hisato san with his cute assistant, Boon. It was really a honor to have my hair done by a Japanese and I adore Japanese hairstyles!!! Sadly, I didn't managed to catch him for a snap thou... (@_@)

For makeup, it was done by my favourite MAC Creative Artisit, Beno Lim. He gave me a great face during New Face!!! *Heartfelt Gratitude!* Till now, I think Beno is the only one that can give me the makeup that I'm satisfy with. Most of the makeup artists, either give me the wrong shade of foundation (I'm kinda pale to find the right tone) or conceals my dark eye circles till my eyes disappear!!! *Flaming!!!*

First makeup was with fierce wine red lipstick! I love how it appears on the pictures. Red lippy was such a chore during SQ days! It never fails to stain my teeth and it look so auntish then! *Shivers*

Working with Child Models!

My 3rd time working with Child Models!!! This time I'm a "young" mum with 3 kids (2 girls + 1 boy)!!! I think I am having this "Mumsy" look as recently all my shoots (for ads and such) I need to be a Mum... *Urgh!* I think Motherhood Magazine & etc gonna be my base soon... I hope not! *Fingers crossed*

Child models are cute to work with most of the times. Basically, if they have their stomach filled and is happy that day, it will be done fast.



Celine "My eldest child"!!! She's one of the main cast for MediaCorp Channel 8 kid programme "Little Red Dancing Shoes" as Hui Hui. Catch her on TV every Sunday 10.30am!
Also, she's Little Miss Cinderella Singapore!!!

Camera and Lights! READY?! Actions!

The photographer for that day was Gavin. Met him a few times during New Face and other events. He was really nice and patience in giving me the directions to pose. Kind enough to give me advices plus letting me view the shoots. Thank you, Gavin!!! *Flowers for you!*

1st shoot was for the series of hand accessories displaying the unique pieces from Metropolitans Museum shop. I think I'm gonna sucks at that pic thou.... Didn't manage to get a snap for it :(

2nd Shoot was done outdoor with the 3 cute kids. I'm in slightly oversized Liz Claiborne's Orange-red dress, that "ages" me, carrying lotsa shopping bags which pratically is EMPTY!!! The warmth from the Sun some how hinders the progess for this picture as the kids need to run up and down many times for a perfect picture.

3rd (Final) Shoot was a solo snap in another slightly oversized Liz Claiborne's Green Printed Dress with a "present"!!! So my lovables can imagine how old I gonna look on the spread?! Still its a pretty dress! (^_^)

Time really flies so fast that it was almost a year ever since my New Face 2007 contest and the 2007 finalists are all gonna be "Old" Faces soon (Anna was "reminding" me...)!!!

Lovaholic @ TNP New Face 2007 - Part 6 - M.A.C Smoke Signal launch party!

Lovaholic attended her first M.A.C new product launch party at PLAY on 22nd August 2007 (Wednesday). *Oh Weee!!!!* (^_^)

We (New Face constants) had the privilege to attend this very exclusive event only to M.A.C members and most of us took it as a chance for a mini-gathering. *Yipeee*

The product launched was Smoke Signal and as suggested by the name it was all about the new Smoky eyes makeup and the party was most definitely filled with "SMOKE" (as in dry ice effect kind not smoking kind)!!!! Almost too blur to navigate after the show performed by the professional models.... *Rubbing my eyes!*

Lovaholic @ TNP New Face 2007 - Part 5 - Subaru Hub Photo Shoot!!!

Lovaholic done the last shooting for The New Paper New Face on 4th August 2007 (Saturday) @ Subaru Hub!!! (^_^)

The last part of shoot for the New Face and Lovaholic was freaking nervous since she was such a photo-shooting dumb dumb!!! (>_<)

My M.A.C makeup and hair for the day:

I kinda hate my makeup that day although the makeup artisit was truly sweet and nice!!! On top of that, she's BEAUTIFUL!!! Yes!!! Beautiful!!! Her tesses are like mermaid and I mean it!!! All I can say is that I hate my hereditary DARK EYE CIRCLES!!! (@_@)

It was glamourous theme I think as we got shimmering smoky eyes!!! I love the color combination but then my eyes looked smaller than ever with too much concealer on my "panda" eyes!!! (@_@)

Hair was simple.... Only got to blow straight this time... They wanna me to show off my newly dyed Violet Red hair!!! It looks great on me but then greatness don't get to last forever... Sadly, it had faded to my old blonde brown... (>_<)



My M.A.C makeup that day... I hate it actually when they try to OVER conceal my dark eyes circles with too much whites.... It was not Beno as my Makeup aritist that day... I simply love his skills.... (>_<)

As compare to the Rasa Sentosa Shoot, I finished this in about 10 mins.... I guess my mood was right that day.... I got to pose with Subaru white Legacy (tuned by S.T.I) that day and was a happy girl!!! (^_^)

Lovaholic got a new hair color!!!

Lovaholic got to change her hair color FOC with compliment to Monsoon!!! *Oh Weee!!!*

Due to the TNP New Face, Lovaholic was suggested by her nanny for a change of hair color and she accepted it!! (>_<)

VioLa Violet!!!!

I am always bronze/brown hair color ever since I bid sayonara to SIA!!! Their strict rules make sure all the trolley dollies are in BLACK hair!!! Well, company images to uphold.... can't complain.... (@_@)

After 2 weeks, the gorgeous red has faded to brown hair again....

Lovaholic @ TNP New Face 2007 - Part 4 - Sentosa Photo Shoot... (>_<)

Lovaholic was sent to Rasa Sentosa aka Shangri-La Resort at Sentosa for her FIRST full-fledge photo shoot on 27th July 2007, Thursday! (>_<)

Totally, no experience (whatsoever) for photo shoot like this.... Utterly confused on how to pose and which side of my face is my best angle... (@_@)

My guess is that it gonna turn out kinda badly since I got a big round face!!! Well, its over at least!!! *Wahaha* (^_^)

Lovaholic didn't really take much pics while she was at Rasa Sentosa as she was rather in a lousy mood after her Second backdrop for the shoot.... Image trying so hard to get into the mood (I took a good 30-45 mins!) by posing in front of a lift lobby area with a chair and trying hard to look sweet, slightly sexy and etc.... I can't do it.... *sob sob* (-_-")

Pretty Bestie Sharifah and Sweet Rachel were there with me on that day... Sharifah was a deary to me that day, helping me with the shoes... Not forgetting my nanny, WeeTeck, and the rest of them even I was like testing their patience with the 2nd background... First shoot location was fast as I WAS IN THE RAIN!!! *Oh my goodness!!!* (^_^)
